Thanks Mark.

You are not used to ultra wide close ups or just 10mm?

I personally don't like the 10mm that much either -- too much distortion. However this is the best there is on an 1.6x camera. I think I read somewhere that this lens is either on par or better than the 16-32mm L.

In regards to close up shots, I thought they were alright. Different strokes for different people, I suppose. Keep in mind that my 'walkaround' lenses(people always try to look for 'walkaround' lenses, never knowing that ANY lenses can be walk around lenses. Ok maybe except long telephotos) for this trip were a 70-200 F4L and a 10-22mm.

This photo, "The Serene State at Boat House Row", has awesome detail and composition. But I am not used to some of the close up 10mm shots.
